Why a birth year or milestone watch?

A watch made in the same year as a special event in time is more than a watch. It’s a personal connection to the past. Watch enthusiasts choose birth year & milestone watches for the memories they carry. Whether it’s a sporty Seiko chronograph, a rugged Rolex diver, or a classic Longines dress watch. The year in which it was created holds your moment in time, turning the watch into a wearable memory.

Wearing it bridges past and present. It keeps the memory alive. And maybe one day, it will be passed down to a loved one to carry that memory forward.

  • TIMEMATCH story

Reunited with a lost time piece
    A wedding gift found again

In 1986, as a wedding gift, my wife and I bought each other a beautiful pair of classic Seiko watches. The moon phase added just that touch of interest to their elegant simplicity. I bought her the smaller ladies’ version and she bought me the larger one. We wore them every day for over 35 years.

When gardening or doing other physical work, I would take mine off to keep it safe. Unfortunately, one day I must have pulled it out of my pocket by accident. Despite searching for days, I couldn’t find it. I was determined that we should have a matching pair again and began looking for the same model I had lost. After a long search I finally found one, identical to the original. In my mind it has become the watch I lost, and now the two watches move on together towards our 40th wedding anniversary.

I find it difficult to express how glad and relieved I am that these two symbols of our marriage have been brought together again.
